Job Descriptions:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounting reports, including variance analysis and insightful commentary for senior management.
- Support senior management by providing timely, accurate financial information to facilitate sound decision-making and financial control.
- Participate in US GAAP-related projects, with a focus on developing management accounting reports and reconciling IFRS 17 and US GAAP results.
- Assist in annual budgeting and financial planning processes, including forecast and budget submissions.
- Coordinate with other departments on the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
- Perform monthly and quarterly expense analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with finance and actuarial teams to develop analytics on business profitability and performance.
- Provide financial analysis and support to business units to enhance growth and profitability.
- Prepare ad-hoc management reports and analyses as required.
- Continuously drive quality improvements in management accounting and reporting processes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a sizable accounting firm or the insurance industry.
- Solid experience and practical knowledge in IFRS, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Hands-on experience with US GAAP reporting and reconciliation between IFRS and US GAAP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI and group reporting tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of insurance industry reporting and current accounting standards, including IFRS 17.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the U.S.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong multitasking ability and capability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-changing environment.
