The valuation oversight team is responsible for supporting the security valuation processes by providing independent oversight of valuations used in our various funds and investment vehicles.  The team supports and creates complex valuation methods for financial instruments and provides timely, insightful, fundamental and quantitative insights.

This position is integrated as part of the portfolio accounting and performance team linking valuation concepts with our global oversight of Aegon Asset Management investment strategies. As part of our oversight role, we support analysis of performance and attribution results, ensuring accurate and market-aligned security valuations, and applying industry‑standard methodologies.

Responsibilities: (List below)

  • Applies advanced understanding of complex valuation methods and financial instruments
  • Participates in valuation model development and testing.  Prepares required model documentation in compliance with policies and standards.
  • Collaborates with team members and stakeholders in assuring appropriate valuations for covered investments.
  • Maintain and support our overall valuation governance, documentation, and key controls
  • Proactively monitor and identify areas of potential concern and work to remedy
  • Provides oversight of core portfolio and accounting tasks and performance outputs.
  • Provides analytic support and stakeholder management to the investment management teams by providing timely and insightful fundamental and quantitative feedback. 

Required Qualifications:
