Duration: 4 months, with the possibility of an extension to 6 months

As an intern within the Operational Due Diligence (ODD) team you will be given meaningful responsibilities from day one and will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the team's activities under the guidance of experienced colleagues. You are a quick learner, you work accurately and diligently and you are detail-oriented. If you recognize yourself in this description, you may just be our next Intern ODD!

As intern you will work alongside the Junior and Senior Investment Manager ODD. You will learn what operational risks need the be monitored under the Dutch regulations and how this monitoring is performed. It is a unique chance to learn more about different asset classes (such as Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt and Listed strategies) and their operational set up.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the ODD team in the monitoring of external managers.
  • Help the ODD team with ongoing projects, supporting project execution and helping the team deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Helping maintain the ODD tooling environment and supporting the documentation of governance, processes and controls.
  • Communicate with external asset managers.
  • Identify and test opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve team efficiency and processes.

Team:

The Operational And Client Due Diligence team consists of ~ 4 people and is part of the Operations team which has a total of 22 employees. The team is split in several sub-teams. The teams are based out of multiple locations, but for this role, the office would be at Schiphol airport (NL). Hybrid working is possible.  

Required Qualifications:

  • The internships requires a minimum of 32 hours per week
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university  with an interest to pursue a career in the asset management industry.
  • Internships are not available for students who have completed their undergraduate college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, dependable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, AI tools such as Co-pilot, and others.
  • Interest in asset management + good sense of humor + execution mindset to see projects through to completion.
  • We welcome applications from MBA candidates as well. Preference will be given to applicants who possess relevant prior work experience in industry, consulting, finance, or related fields.

Terms 

  • Internship stipend of €650 per month for HBO and University students and up to €1.300 for MBA students

  • A personal laptop provided for the duration of the internship 

  • Personal guidance and handson learning 

  • A Dutch BSN number and Dutch bank account are required 

  • NonEU/EEA students must have a valid residence permit stating “arbeid vrij toegestaan”
