Commission System Analyst
Responsibilities
Responsible for semi-weekly commission cycles, including ACH transmissions for field agents, for multiple providers in the U.S. including Puerto Rico, and Canada.
Oversee all commission system related data to include retrieving, logging, and loading electronic commissions into appropriate systems for processing and resolve system errors encountered during file loading.
Perform complex research using MS SQL queries to independently identify and resolve commission errors or inquiries.
Research and provide timely responses to debt rollup related inquiries for field agents and collection agencies through analysis of balances and roll up history and assist with debt reporting.
Conduct comprehensive balance reviews and perform cash flow analysis to assess long-term debt eligibility.
Develop test plans and oversee validation of system enhancements within the commission platform.
Execute advanced quality assurance audits on commission processes to detect discrepancies, resolve, conflicts, and mitigate potential risks.
Lead and collaborate in department projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business field, or equivalent experience
Three plus years of experience with commission systems or related system QA/testing
Knowledge of commissions processing, system rules, and agent debt processes
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and outside of normal working hours
Decision-making and organizational skills
Strong MS Excel skills
Knowledge of MS SQL
Preferred Qualifications
Background in the insurance/financial services industry
Compensation
The salary for this position generally ranges between $56,000 - $66,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus of 7.5% based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
Working Conditions
- This is a hybrid position requiring three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Denver).
